I've had various careers over my lifetime, and when I made the change to working with seniors I was astounded at how little practical information and help was out there. Information and help is available but if you don't know what to ask or who to ask, it can be frustrating.

 

I have the educational background and became a Nationally Certified Senior Advisor, worked with the Office on Aging , became a program manager for a national food bank and set up their senior feeding programs delivering groceries to senior independent living complexes, and taught technology usage to seniors at senior centers.

 

I wrote my 4th book, Aging with Grace, the truth about aging in America, by Author Kate Perkins, with all the information I gathered over the years. It addresses situations and where and what help is available for any situation from having assets to being homeless.

I currently work only online. I host Still Here - Adventures in Aging Podcast, along with the YouTube Channel, Facebook page and YouTube Channel.
